Not many from 33-1919
by ajie inread a post yesterday where someone had the number of partakers in 1935 the cut off year, the number of partakers(annointed) was 52465 this dosnt leave many places for the people before the org was chosen in 1919.so the total number of places in heaven before 1935 was 91535.it seems that there cant of been many true followers in the 1902 years prior to their being chosen,in fact it works out there were only 48 annointed spaces per year.but suddenly from 1919 to 1935 a period of only 16 years we have an increase of holy ones to 3279 per year .this is so obviously rubbish, and how the hell did they no there were 91535 annointed before them, hope that all makes sense.

I dont know why all the greif about college. JW's plan fine futures for their kids. I know of one elders daughter who has the high ambition when she finishes high school to become a nail technician and pioneer.

I like the way it totally ignores the first century rise in christainity. never mind reading about how 3000 were baptized on pentacost and 4000 another day and how there were congo's littered across the land. Into all the earth there sound went out. But, Ironically the Apostle's and such of the first century with their healing, miracle's and the fact that they actually saw Jesus, were no match for russel and his peeps.

They saw a body of water and they were baptized in one day after believing

the early eleopian eunuch talked to phillip about the bible in acts.

But seriously, I remember when they came out with the knowledge book they made a big deal how that this would be the only book we need to study with people with, instead of the old rule of 2 books at least. Of course this shined an interesting look on the whole new light theme, namely you still had those die hards who insisted on going over a second book with people. Which was only understandable since one book cuts into your field time quota. Ironically they use the scripture you mentioned, to justify the need to study a whole book with someone before they can get baptized...makes sense?!?

Tremendous changes in a short time.....
by AK - Jeff ini mean if you think about it - and i might be off on the time a little - in the past 6 months we have heard of the following;elimination of the hard cover biblereducing of awake to monthly additionsdownsizing at bethel worldwideelimination of bethel elders.
there may be others that i forgot about.
but these are all very significant, and they are all happening at once, in a relative sense.those of us in the apostate circles may not realize just how the total impact might be on the flock.

I think a lot of times when they make these changes its just to shake up the R&F. I remember when they brought in the nethenem class one Dub told me 'oh the annointed are getting ready to die and are looking out for us when there gone.' Isnt the partakers number the same as it was 15 yrs ago?
These changes just gets the uninspired a little motivated because they think the flying saucer is on the move. -

Salvation lie within. People need to learn to take control of their own lives and destinys. When one becomes a slave to the thoughts, beliefs and doctrine of others, he is a slave to that person. If you want to satisfy your spiritual longings, read the bible, pray and enter into frank and open disscusions with various others over what you read, not to try and disuade them but to enhance your own understanding and inner peace.
Mankind has spent to long looking to others (people. organizations) to lead them when each of us need to be making our own way, enhancing our own lives.

February 2007 - The Prophecy Experiment
by nicolaou in.
here's how it works.
you make a prophecy that is due to be fulfilled a year from now, in february 2007. now of course, experience has taught us that if a prophecy is too specific the probablities that it will be fulfilled are reduced, conversely, if the prophecy is too vague any fulfillment will be difficult to assess and of little value.. so, make a prophecy with tight enough parameters so that it will generate interest and allow the observer to be "on the watch" but broad enough to give yourself the widest possible chance of fulfullment.. sure, it's a long term prophecy and we all have the attention span of a soap bubble but i'll bump the thread periodically and make a note in my diary for this time next year.. february 2007 - we should be able to anoint our new, chief prophet!

How much longer can the 'anointed' Governing Body last?
by nicolaou inwhat was the latest figure for memorial partakers?
there has been plenty of feedback to suggest that the wt consider many to be wrongly partaking of the bread & wine and don't accept this whole number to be truly of the remnant of the 144,000. we'll be generous and say that they are all genuine.. take women out of the equation and you may be left with about 4000 men - the ladies live longer ;).
remove those that don't speak english and you may be down to perhaps 3000. remove those that cannot relocate to the usa and you might be left with 2000. remove those that may actually decline an invitation to the governing body - well not too many i guess so let's stick at 2000. remove those that require constant nursing or healthcare and you could be down to your last 1000. finally, remove those who are simply not up to the job .
